JEWARGI, Jewargi police have seized a lorry which was illegally transporting about 200 qunitals of rice to Bhavanagar in Gujarat from a village of Shahpur taluk.

They have arrested Sohail Haji, the lorry driver and cleaner Iqbal and the lorry and rice have been seized. The police intercepted the lorry near Lakhanapur Cross in Jevargi, while returning from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. A complaint has been registered at Jewargi Police Station.
