Lab operational

A laboratory set up at the GIMS to test Covid 19 has become operational from Tuesday morning.

It can do 30 tests a day. This is the only laboratory that has been made operational in North Karnataka for Covid-19 test. 

Paediatrician in isolation

A 40-year-old paediatrician working at the ESIC hospital in Kalaburagi has been isolated for the past two days after he showed flu-like symptoms, a source revealed.

His blood and throat swab samples have been sent for the laboratory two days ago. The result is awaited by the district administration. It is not yet known how he developed the symptoms, the sources added.
