Jewargi,Three migrants workers from Kalyana Karnataka died after the tractor they were travelling in hit by an unidentified vehicle near Hiriyur of Chitradurga district on Saturday midnight.

The sources said the deceased have been identified as Sakreppa Srimath (25) and Manappa Amalappa (22), residents of Haranur village in Jewargi taluk and Mahadevappa Hanamanth (28), a resident of Ramasamudra in Yadgir district.

While Sakreppa and Manappa died on the spot, Mahadevappa died at the district hospital. Ten people were injured in the mishap and admitted to taluk hospital at Hiriyur. They had migrated to Bengaluru to earn their daily bread. The mishap took place when they were travelling back home in a tractor. A case has been registered at Hiriyur Police Station.
