KALABURAGI,: Regional Commissioner N V Prasad on Thursday morning visited several locations including Railway Station, central bus stand, Sharanabasaveshwara temple and Khaja Bandanawaz dargah and inspected the steps taken to prevent the further spread of Covid-19.

He directed the deputy commissioner and deputy commissioner of police to speed screening at railway station besides providing thermal scan equipment. On spotting that there is no proper mechanism at the central bus stand to screen the passengers, he directed the NEKRTC managing director to screen each passenger by setting up temporary entry and exit points.

Steps should be taken up to maintain cleanliness in the City by the concerned officials. Spraying medicine at important locations should be intensified to contain the spread of the virus. Hand sanitisers arrangement should be made at the required locations, Prasad directed KMP commissioner Rahul Pandwe.

Quality food should be served to those who are in the isolation ward of ESIC hospital and ventilators should be made available, he directed. The concerned officials should send action taken report to him.
