Kalaburagi, Central University of Karnataka (CUK) ranked 73rd among the government universities in India in the survey conducted by Education World, a Mumbai-based education magazine.

The survey also mentioned that the CUK is in the eighth position in Karnataka State. Indian Institute of Science-Bengaluru (IISc-B) secured the first position at the national level as well as in the State.

CUK Vice-Chancellor H M Maheshwaraiah said, though CUK was established ten years ago, it has shifted to its campus just five years back. In the last five years, it has achieved phenomenal growth in infrastructure development and recruitment of a huge number of faculties contributing to this ranking. Now, the university has about 150 faculty members.
