Bidar sees seven fresh cases, Kalaburagi reports two
BIDAR, Novel coronavirus infection continued to grapple Bidar district with seven fresh cases being reported on Thursday. While six people have the contact of the returnees from Delhi’s Jamaat religious congregation, a 45-year-old woman has a history of travelling to Mumbai.
The woman is believed to have arrived from Dharavi in Mumbai to Hunasagera village in Humnabad taluk. She along with her husband set out on foot from Mumbai on May 3 and reached the village on May 8. On learning about it, the villagers had urged them to undergo a medical check-up. Hence, they visited the government hospital in Humnabad on May 9. The test result of the woman came back positive. The Health Department officials said, the couple have been admitted at BRIMS in Bidar. Their relatives have been sent to quarantine at Hallikhed (K) village. A total of 38 people came in contact of the infected woman.
Meanwhile, two persons including 80-year-old woman tested positive for the virus in Kalaburagi.
