Seven more Covid positive cases reported in Vijaypur
Vijaypur, Seven more Covid-19 positive cases were reported in Vijaypur city on Thursday bringing the total number of positive cases to 17, informed Deputy Commissioner Y S Patil.
Addressing media persons here on Thursday, he said, six of the cases reported are due to the contact they have of the first woman who was reported positive, one is a relative of the five persons of the same family members who were tested positive for the pandemic.
Two new cases of another family are reported on Thursday, he said adding that three of the newly infected are men, two women, a boy of 12 years and a child of a year and half. Except for the child, other six persons have primary contacts with P-221 woman the first Covid-19 infected.
The child caught infection from the second family, he said.
He informed that the virus that was oscillating its tentacles between only two families of the City, has now spread to the third family. If the first woman and her husband (who succumbed to the virus) became infected with Covid-19 when they attended a funeral at Ichalakaranji in Maharashtra, the five members of the other family who were tested positive are
learnt to have Maharashtra contacts. The virus is thus infecting other members of the families who are the primary contacts of the first reported cases.
