Number of Covid-19 suspected cases increasing in Bidar dist
The district administration has been making every effort to contain the spread of Covid-19 in the border district for the past many days.
People were being sensitised in every part of the cities and villages. Prohibitory orders have been clamped to check the movement of people and vehicles. Shops were
shut down and business establishments also remained closed.
Still, the people have been coming out of the houses and failing to maintain social distance.
As many as 562 people have returned from Dubai, Abudabi, Soudi Arabia, Katar, Kuwait, Oman, USA, Germany, France and Nepal to the district while eight persons have come from various parts of the country. After the arrival of people with travel history, the number of Covid-19 suspected cases increased in the district.
Of them, 317 people have completed the 14-day isolation period. Blood samples of 19 suspected cases were obtained and sent for laboratory tests and of them, 14 tested negative. The reports of five persons are still awaited.
There are 253 people home quarantined and under observation. The district administration has collected details through revenue officials and Asha workers.
Generally people of the district used to visit Hyderabad or Solapur for advanced medical treatments. But now, all the movement of people has been restricted. Isolation ward was set up in BRIMS hospital but details were not provided so far.
Strict measures have been taken in the borders of the district.
The Health Department officials have been conducting the medical check-up of every person passing through the check-post. Police have resorted to cane the youths who have been wandering in the streets violating the prohibitory orders.
