Disinfectant being sprayed in City to check Covid-19
KALABURAGI, In order to check the spread of Covid-19, the premises of Gulbarga Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) and ESIC Medical College & Hospital, where Covid-19 patients are being treated were disinfected by spraying disinfectant on Tuesday morning.
The disinfectant contains water, phenyl and Dettol. Hypofluorite solution liquid fogging was also done in the evening. The medicine is being sprayed on the premises of the two hospitals and the surrounding areas. The spraying of disinfectant has been taken up from Monday on the directions of the district administration and local MLAs to contain the virus.
The medicine was sprayed at Humnabad base, Super Market, Jagat Circle, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Circle, Rashtrapati Chowk, Ram Mandir, Old Jewargi Road of the City. The same was sprayed from Town Hall to RTO Cross and Kharge petrol bunk to ESIC Hospital.
“The disinfectant will be sprayed at two containment zones–ward number-30 and 14, where two Covid 19 positive patients are living. The two wards will also be sanitised. The work on spraying medicine will continue in the City in the next one month across the City, said Kalaburagi Mahanagara Palike Commissioner Rahul Pande.
