DC inspects precautions taken against the spread of Covid-19 Officials asked to strictly implement orders of the district administration
Deputy Commissioner R Venkatesh Kumar visited various places in
the City on Friday and inspected the precautionary measures taken to contain
the spread of Covid-19.
He
paid a visit to central bus stand and availed information on the measures taken
to keep a vigil on the travellers and also to monitor the health conditions of
the people. He instructed the health officials to continue the public
announcements through loud speakers and maintain proper cleanliness.
Later,
he went to the railway station and inspected the testing centres set up in the
station. He asked the officials to screen all the passengers with therma
scanners. He personally inspected the closure of stalls on Harihar Road and
instructed the officials to ensure the closure of all the shops other than milk
and essential commodities.

Kumar visited Chandramouleshwar Circle and Mahaveera Circle where he
noticed some shops opened. He warned them of legal action if the shops were
kept open. The told the CMC officials to shut down all the shops immediately.
At
RIMS, he visited isolation ward and the beds arranged for the suspected
Covid-19 cases. At Opec Hospital he availed information on the isolation ward
set up for the suspected cases.
Raichur Assistant Commissioner Santosh Kamanagouda, Tahsildar
Hampanna and health officers accompanied him.

PSI Prakash Reddy Dambal has asked the general public to cooperate with the
administration in containing the spread of Covid-19. The people should strictly
follow the guidelines and help the officials implement the orders.
The prohibitory
orders have been clamped in the taluk and all the shops, hotels, bar and
restaurants should be closed, he said. The people should stay indoors to avoid
the spread of Covid-19, Prakash Reddy Dambal said.
