Raichur, Legal action has been initiated against 141 people who had violated Section 144 clamped across the district in view of containing the spread of Covid-19, informed Superintendent of Police C B Vedamurthy. 

The government has ordered total lockdown in the entire country and people have been instructed to stay indoors. People should not come to the streets unnecessarily but one member of the family could come to purchase essential commodities. But some youths were found wandering unnecessarily and they were charged.

The police have seized 247 motorbikes in the district for violating the prohibitory orders. In Raichur the vehicle riders were held for a day at Veerashiava Kalyan Mantap and warned against moving around the City, he said.
