‘Cancel license of Pvt hospitals if they deny treatment’
Yadgir, All the private hospitals should continue to function and if any hospital remained closed or denied treatment of the patients, the license of such hospitals should be cancelled immediately, directed Health & Family Welfare Minister B Sriramulu to the deputy commissioner.
Speaking at the review meeting here recentlty, the minister said, as per the order of the Home Ministry, the private hospitals come under emergency services. If the private hospitals did not provide medical treatments, the burden on the government hospitals would increase. Therefore, without any hindrance, strict action should be taken against the private hospitals which deny treatments.
MLA Rajugouda said, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), masks and other medical equipment should be supplied to the district. More than 20,000 masks were being prepared at Rangampet in Surpur, he said. The minister instructed the deputy commissioner to permit the self help groups to prepare masks in the district.
Deputy Commissioner M Kurma Rao explained the measures taken to contain the spread of Covid-19 in
the district. Earlier, the minister inspected the Covid-19 hospital established in the new district hospital building.
Zilla Panchayat president Rajshekargouda Patil Vajjal, MLA Venkateddygouda Mudnal and others were present.
